The long awaited holidays are finally here!!! ^-^

& its been a long time since i last blogged,
cause i hadn't been feeling up to it to pour my feelings into this page,
-for fear of spouting an avalanche of depressive thoughts.
-for fear of saying things tt'll hurt others.

okay, lets start wid my grades..
as usual failed my maths n (barely) passed my sciences n econs.
got a B for gp n tts e only good thing tt came outta promos.

i was told to drop one of my H2 to H1 but i think..im keeping my 4 H2s...
cos if i were to switch to H1 now..
nxt yr e timetable will end terribly late n e thing is i cant bear to drop it...
i shall work hard this hols to salvage my lousy grades!

training's gonna be intensive this hols,
but my work schedule keeps clashing wid trng sessions.
thankfully i settled it wid my boss just a moment ago so tt hes giving me afternoon shifts
on wed, fri n sat.

this way i wouldnt hav to miss my trng (maybe just e monday one)
but guess it'll be really taxing.
n my coach keeps asking me to quit "why make urself so unhappy?
`
but actually working isnt unhappy,there's good n bad times.
e staff there r all nice ppl, enjoyed working wid em=D
though downside is tt when sales r bad, u feel stressed
cos e boss will kp calling to check on sales..damn irritating.

and thing is u get to meet all sorts of people.
though some customers r really weird,
they r funny in some sense.and brighten up ur boring day.
oh, friendly customers even offered me famous amos cookies!=D
haha. of cos generous TAITAIs i love em e most..

just yesterday, i was working at e branch at jurong point;
met really WEIRD ppl i tell u!
.
im too lazy to talk bout em all..
but theres tis customer tt left me e deepest impression..
n left me thinking bout how unfair e world is.
.
okay, its actually this 2 indian foreign workers( who look like those rapist u see on tv=P)
well, e 2 of em were like hovering ard e counter for 20 mins i tink..
n everytime i ask em if dey need help dey will look alarmed n shyly say no.
.
so i waited n dey finally called me over to look at e necklace.
dey chose this pretty piece which cost $12.90.
.
n den dey told me they wanted to choose a pendant to go along wid it.
so they peered through e glass casing n looked at e pendants for a long long time..
dey chose e cheapest pendant which cost $6.90 & asked me to add up e total price for em.
.
so 12.90+6.90=$19.80.
.
upon hearing tt their faces fell, & it was e saddest look i'd seen in anybodys eyes for some time..
.
cos one of e man took up this torn n tattered handkerchief den carefully opened it up to reveal
a heap of one dollar coins.
they carefully counted e coins and it only added up to $18.
.
i was really quite lagging n kp looking at e pendant section for anything cheaper so tt dey could afford, den i suddenly realised tt i can recommend dem cheaper necklaces (lagging rite!)
.
so i showed em this necklace which cost 10.90.n another which is even cheaper 8.90 but not as nice.
.
i expected him to choose e 8.90 one.
.
but guess wad.
he picked e 10.90 one cos he told me "more shiny, wife like shiny"
n ltr i found out tt e necklace is for his wife in india, for her birthday.
.
10.90+ 6.90=$17.80!!!!!!!!!! (JUST ENOUGH=D)

well, unlike for e other customers whom i just anyhow wrap up e purchase,
i made sure tt i wrapped this up really nicely,tied ribbons n placed it in a carrier.
( tt we normally only give to customer who buy expensive expensive stuff)

mann, u know how happy e man looked when i handed him e bag,
though he spoke a whole string of indian words i couldnt understand,
i heard "present..real present"
followed by a proud smile on his face.
.
it may seem insignificant to u..
u may think 'CHEY.just an indian buying necklace for wife only wad.'
.
but i can imagine how long he took to save up tt money,
n its probably all e money he has.
if im his wife i'll be so touched=))
.
my dad used to tell me before tt foreignworkers get paid
one dollar per day for all e hard work, while e rest goes to their agency.
now i tink its true,its true.
cos all e man has r one dollar coins....

maybe e reason why it stirred me so much is cos...
ive seen people come n go wid purchase of 70 plus 100 plus for a bracelet
or a ring without much thought.
handing me their platinum cards n big notes...
.
compared to this..its really a stark contrast.

but well, theres rich n poor ppl.
e cold hard fact just like e world is round.DUH.

so i guess im actually considered vvvvvvvv well-off alr=D

and im really glad tt im still close wid this bunch of irritating frens frm anderson,
had expected us to drift apart aft gg off to diff jcs..
but guess we'd all put in effort to maintain this special bond=D

i really feel so alone.
but yanhan.mel.soph.yh.yt really made me feel tt at least i belonged to sth=))
n trng became wad i truly looked forward to each day in sch.

i've no idea since when was it,
tt i changed my attitude towards my class, even e girls whom i tot at least i could be close to.
but ive really no idea since when i gave up on tt.

i dunno, its like e things we do for each other doesnt seem to be genuinely frm e heart.
it seems more of a formality or an obligation.

Bcause theres only 6 girls, if u dun ask one along,if giv one to this n not to that it will be impolite n mean.
so we end up doing things tt classmates do but not wad frens do.

and mel gave her seat to the old man in e picture while i stood up for another auntie.

not knowing e direct chinese term doesnt mean im ignorant.
and it doesnt mean tt i cant speak chinese.

I BET if u ask ms tan tt she may not even know the chinese translation despite being a chem tcher.

for one moment i really felt like debating wid him bout the differences in education system in HIS time n MINE.

i guess he is an educated man who's well-versed in both languages,
but that doesnt give him the right to display that type of attitude,
especially towards someone who gave up seats.

and for goodness sake.
u think knowing the chinese terminologies make u BETTER?
maybe in some way it does,but e way u shared ur KNOWLEDGE is repulsive.
